In pots and vases

Recently, I’ve been inspired by plenty of blooming shown in a number of blogs I follow. The last roses of the season in Australia, the first spring blossoms in the UK, Italy and elsewhere, many wonderful bouquets...

The loveliest local garden blog Suvikumpu is looking back to the flowering of last summer, in preparation for the forthcoming, much longed-for growing season, with a parade of the most wonderful photos. They make you wish you knew a secret trick to speed up time, at least a tiny bit.

There is no escaping: it will take another two months or so before we’ll see blooming of any sort here. Until then, I’ll just have to continue relying on cut flowers and potted plants. This weekend, thanks to my sister-in-law and myself, I am lucky to have all this blossoming around.

  1. You have captured the flowers beautifully. The light though the tulips is very special. At least with slightly longer days summer feels a tiny bit closer. Have a good week. B x

    1. We are back to the grey scale and feeling weary again, I'm afraid.

    1. Indeed, even when there's no sun flowers will bring you some joy anyway.

    1. I am sure you will understand why we generally travel to extend the summer season from both ends.
