For a few days now, it has been above
freezing point and the town has turned from white to grey. Before bidding
farewell to the peak of winter, I have one more icy sunset to show.
The swans had travelled on. We watched the sky and the ice-covered sea turn pink, not only where the sun was setting but in the other directions as well.
Since then, the weather seems to have turned towards
spring but I can’t believe the change would be permanent yet. We’ll just have
to wait and see.
I particularly like the third to last photo with the reeds. What a wonderful part of the world you live in. I wonder if we will have another cold snap. It has been so mild in Jersey again, but grey and dismal. Hope you have a good week. Barbara X
ReplyDeleteI do love our contrasting seasons. The cold winter makes the sweetness of summer feel even sweeter to us. I just looked out of the window and the courtyard is white again, at least until tomorrow.
DeleteFantasic images and beautifully captured on your camera.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rosemary. Now that we live close to the sea I find myself falling for it deeper and deeper.
DeleteThe snow is so beautiful in your photos! xx
ReplyDeleteEvery once in a while we've had a sunny cold day like this. Most of the time our winter is just grey I'm afraid.
DeleteI share your feeling about the sea the more you see it the more you love it! Those colours are fantastic I have looked at your images several times and have enjoyed them so much.

Thank you, Sarah. I come from the plains in the western part of the country where even lakes are not that common so I have quite surprised myself.
