It must be spring


It stayed above freezing point through the night and Sunday was all sunshine. If this is not spring I don’t know what is.

Sun shining on the dining table:


My tiny bougainvillea starting to bloom in its pot:

Footprints being pressed on wet snow that was ice only yesterday:

My men were here.

Plants starting to uncover from under the piles of snow ploughed away from the yard:


First patches of gravel being visible on the road:



Our old barn surviving yet another winter under a heavy burden of snow:
