Casual pet minding

For the last few days, we have been pampered with pleasantly warm weather. Today was a strange day, all cloudy but warm – a perfect Saturday to mind a few pets without almost anything else to do while waiting for the thunderstorm to break out.

My daughter was away taking care of her uncle’s dog so we minded her Maine Coon cats. One of my nieces was attending a wedding nearby together with her parents so we also minded her German Spitz (Mittelspitz).

Our Jack has been living mostly out-of-doors for the past couple of weeks but even he wanted to come inside for a few hours of sleep. Everyone seemed to be a bit tired because of the recent heat and the excitement of the past couple of days when the cats have had their first, not that smooth encounters with the young dog. I don’t think pet minding could be any easier than what we experienced today.
